Bobi Wine: Philly Lutaaya boosted my self-assurance.

In a video this reporter saw, Wine remarked, "Everything you go through is part of the trip; it's a test.

"You are fortunate to be in this situation. They should go forward rather than behind your back, according to the Baganda. Going through trials will help you respect others who are going through similar things.

Wine claims that in his hometown, nobody thought anyone could leave and be successful, much less a worldwide phenomenon.

But after witnessing the late Philly Lutaaya do it, he understood that even greater heights were feasible.

"That is how you will know that they are also people who have the potential to become significant. What I was saying was that.

I was explaining to the children that people in Gomba village weren't taken seriously when we were young. And only one person—Philly Lutaaya—has ever given me confidence, Wine remarked.

He originated in our community and went on to achieve success and stardom internationally. Even though he passed very early, what he had accomplished motivated us to become the next generation of Philadelphias, he said.

I want to encourage young people to strive to be the next Bobi Wines so they can accomplish something even greater than what we have.
