Dr. Sebunya started handing Kenzo Sh20,000 notes at the same event after taking out the notes. The two men's friendship began after they both had kids with singer Rema Namakula.

Kenzo's encounter with Dr. Sebunya caught him off guard because he wasn't pleased with how their relationship ended. Dr. Sebunya has been referred to by the Nsimbudde singer as a "brother". The Grammy-nominated musician claimed in October 2022 that when Namakula stopped their romance to date Dr. Sebunya, he cried for the first time in public because he felt betrayed by her.

"Family troubles are what caused me to cry when I was observed crying. I had a long-term relationship with someone who helped me advance through the ranks; they may be seen on films attempting to have me returned to the village. That item caused me great pain because it serves as a constant reminder of what I've been through, where I've come from, and where I've come to.

"You wonder why she's dealing with people she's only known for two months to send me back to the village when we have a child that will cement our relationship for the rest of our lives. That thing made me feel pain and made me cry. In 2019, Kenzo and Namakula abruptly called it quits. The Gimme Love singer was so distraught by the breakup that it even came across in his erratic, psychotic-sounding social media outbursts. In one of these rants, he started crying.

Remember that Namakula was a former employee of Gagamel, Bebe Cool's record label, which she quit in 2013 when her bond with Kenzo grew stronger. She would cause Kenzo and Cool to fall out, but they have since patched things up.
