Julie Birungi and her lover are celebrating their seventh year of marriage and thanking God for their many blessings.

"I'm glad I can call you mine, Jean. I consider myself extremely fortunate to have you in my life. What would I be if not for you? I can't imagine anything. You make me happy, and I'm glad you've gotten the best out of me, Jean. I thank God for keeping us together for the past seven years. I vividly remember how I felt when I first saw you; I knew we'd look good together... "I just knew, my love," Mutesasira told Jean.

"The past doesn't matter to me. You may have slept with her or know people who have, but that was in the past. She is now mine, and she will not return to her vomit. We've all made mistakes we regret, but we pick ourselves up and focus on what brings us joy. We're happy now, and that's all that matters. We are growing to love each other and our children more. "My forever is with you, Jean," she added.

"We have experienced good and bad times, but our good times have far outweighed the bad times by farrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr When we met for the first time 7 years ago, I had no idea how our love would develop. We've been through so much together, and I'll be eternally grateful that life brought us together. Thank you for being my life, love, person, jean, forever, and child. I adore you and will adore you in perpetuity, my twin flame. Jean, happy anniversary.

When photos of the two lovers kissing surfaced online two years ago, they caused a media sensation in Uganda.
